Content States

The state of a piece of content in Base determines the level of visibility and accessibility on the front end website.

State

Description

Published (Live)

  • Content is viewable and "Live" on the front end site at the link shown in the SEO Field shown in the screenshot below.

  • Note: You will not see the content appear on the homepage or section pages until a schedule has been assigned. More on that can be found here.

Draft (Working)

  • Content that is an unfinished "working" copy, but not yet published to the site.

  • Note: Unpublished content is not viewable on the front end site.

Deleted

  • Content that has been deleted

  • Note: Once a piece of content has been deleted, it will still be stored and searchable within Base, it won't ever be removed permanently.

Expired

  • Content who's Expired Date has passed

  • Note: Expired content is not viewable on the front end site.

  • Note: This is an automatic status based on the Expiration date and cannot be manually set on content.
